On the Black Sea coast, train traffic along one of the tracks has been restored
According to information published in the Russian Railways telegram channel, the tracks on the Dagomys-Loo section in the Krasnodar Territory, which were damaged due to mudflows, have been restored. However, train movement on this section is carried out in reverse mode.
The first train passed through this section at 04:56. Until the restoration of traffic on the second track is completed, the remaining trains will run through this section in reverse mode.
More than 150 specialists, two recovery trains and other special equipment are involved in the work to eliminate the consequences of the incident. The operational headquarters under the leadership of the head of the company Oleg Belozerov is also actively working to restore the situation.
Let us remind you that the mudflow occurred on Sunday evening in the Dagomys-Loo section on the Black Sea coast. The reason was intense precipitation and waterlogging of the soil. Due to the incident, the train schedule was disrupted and 18 passenger trains were delayed. Passengers were transported to the trains by road. Work to restore the infrastructure continues.
