A “yellow” level of weather danger was announced in Moscow due to Cyclone Olga
Cyclone Olga will hit Moscow on Wednesday, February 7. In this regard, the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia declared a “yellow” level of weather danger in the capital region.
According to forecasters, snow and icing are expected until 21.00. Until the morning of February 8 there will be strong winds, gusts of which will reach 15-17 meters per second.
In addition, the Hydrometeorological Center announced a “yellow” level of weather danger in all regions of the Central Federal District.
The day before, leading specialist of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets warned of heavy snowfall that will hit Moscow on February 7. According to him, due to the North Atlantic cyclone Olga, a quarter of the monthly rainfall will fall in the capital, as a result of which the 29-year-old record could be broken.
