The team from Nizhny Novgorod shows excellent results throughout the season, gaining a foothold in the first half of the standings and providing worthy resistance to their competitors from Agidel, who won the trophy last year. According to the results of the WHL regular championship, the Torpedo hockey players took 2nd place in the standings, losing to Agidel and ahead of other competitors. In the first round of the playoffs, the Torpedo women’s team met with outsiders from the Moscow region and defeated them.

On March 25, in the playoffs of the WHL Cup, all series that were stopped due to the tragic events that happened in Moscow, where a terrorist attack was committed, will resume. With the score 1:1, the confrontation between Torpedo and Biryusa from Krasnoyarsk will resume. The teams that finished in the top 3 at the end of the regular season continue to fight to get into the finals of the WHL Cup. Now the series has moved to Krasnoyarsk, where it will be much more difficult for hockey players from Nizhny Novgorod, given the lack of support and the change in time zone.
