The YouTube video service has announced new tools based on artificial intelligence. At its annual Made on YouTube event, the platform presented features that will become available to creators from the end of this year, The Verge writes. For example, a new feature called Dream Screen will generate photos and even entire videos that creators can use as backgrounds.

First, content makers will need to enter hints—promts—that the artificial intelligence will focus on. The music recommendation system will work in a similar way. Based on a text request, the platform will be able to select audio recording options that can be used in videos.

In the next stages of YouTube development, creators will be able to remake and edit existing content to generate new content, platform representatives said. Also, the announced tools will be able to recognize the nature of the content and, using a new function, generate ideas, themes and sketches for potential videos in YouTube Studio.

For some authors, artificial intelligence personalizes suggestions. The selection of such creators will be based on current popularity. In addition, representatives of the video platform announced the function of dubbing their videos into other languages. To launch this tool, YouTube brought in the Aloud team from its Area 120 incubator earlier this year.

A genre that is gaining popularity within the platform and at the same time giving rise to an unusual form of cannibalism – YouTube Shorts – will also be simplified in production. They created a new application for it: YouTube Create.
