Tomsk weightlifter won bronze at the All-Russian competitions

Tomsk weightlifter Alexander Egorov won a bronze medal at the inter-regional weightlifting competitions among men and women, dedicated to the memory of Yuri Ivanov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. The event took place in Krasnoyarsk and was attended by over 100 athletes from the Siberian, Far Eastern and Central federal districts, according to information provided by the regional administration.
Daniil Kobtsev, a student of Tomsk State University, performing in the 109 kg weight category, also became the bronze medalist of the competition, gaining a total of 247 kg. It was prepared by Alexander Egorov, who together with him represented Tomsk.
Yuri Ivanov, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, is the founder of a weightlifting school in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He participated in competitions and was the champion of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in various weight categories, including up to 82.5 kg, 90 kg and above.
