The Khoroshevsky Court of Moscow received a protocol against the animator and author of the animated series Mr. Freeman Pavel Muntyan (recognized as a foreign agent) under the article on discrediting the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). This follows from the data in the electronic card index Moscow City Court.
The case was registered on December 19, Tatyana Babenkova was appointed judge, as indicated on the card. The second party is the Tagansk Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office. The maximum penalty under this article is a fine of 50 thousand rubles. The meeting date has not yet been set.
From 1998 to 2000, Pavel Muntyan worked in the Moscow government in the department of public and interregional relations. In 2008, he co-founded the animation studio Toonbox, and in 2009 he released the first episode of the TV series Mr. Freeman. As he writes TASS, at the beginning of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, Mr. Muntyan came out in support of Kyiv and launched a fund that collected money to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now Pavel Muntyan is outside of Russia.
