100 years ago, at the beginning of 1923, it was discovered that in Moscow, in the ranks of the mass movement of schoolchildren, which they decided to create in May 1922, there were only 500 children, and the leaders of the Komsomol, instead of concrete work, fought for complete control over the new organization, fiercely discussing with the wife of the leader of the world proletariat, dispersing the detachments of the “Young Communists” and turning to the GPU for assistance in the fight against competitors; as a result, senior comrades joined the process – and, among other things, suggested using the experience of foreign parties most hostile to the USSR.
