TikTok is preparing a photo-sharing app
TikTok is developing a new application – an analogue of Instagram (banned in Russia, owned by the Meta corporation, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation). The new product will allow users to share photos and store them. TASS reported this.
“…we are exploring the ability for our community to create and share photos and texts in a space dedicated to these formats,” a TikTok representative explained to the agency.
TikTok users have already started receiving messages telling them about the new application. The company said that the new product will be called TikTok Notes. As of today, the application is not yet available for download.
*Instagram – On March 21, 2022, a Moscow court recognized the company Meta Platforms Inc., which owns Facebook and Instagram, as extremist. Its activities in Russia are prohibited.
