Three cases of measles have been identified among employees of the Sadovod market, located in the south of Moscow. Vaccinations against measles were received by 680 market workers, according to the website of the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in Moscow.
“In connection with the detection of three cases of measles among employees of Wholesale and Retail Market Sadovod LLC at the address: MKAD 14th kilometer, house 4, specialists from the territorial department of the Rospotrebnadzor Administration for the city of Moscow in the South-Eastern Administrative District organized measles vaccination market workers,” says message.
According to the Moscow Department of Rospotrebnadzor, as part of preventive measures, 680 market workers who had not been ill before, who did not have a completed measles vaccination course, were vaccinated. In total, more than 564 thousand residents of Moscow have been vaccinated.
From January to March, 1089 cases of measles were detected in Russia. The vaccination campaign against measles started in Russia in April. According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, the number of measles patients in the country has begun decline weekly since the beginning of May.
