The Threads social network is going to launch the web version of the application this week. About it reported The Wall Street Journal, citing sources within the company. Former head of Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) Mark Zuckerberg announced the appearance of the web version of the application and the search function.
WSJ sources claim that the plan to launch the web version is not final, and its execution may be postponed. Earlier, the head of Instagram (owned by Meta), Adam Mosseri, said that the company has been testing the web version for a couple of weeks, but it still needs work. Currently, only individual posts in Threads can be viewed on a PC, the application is optimized for the mobile version.
Previous Threads announced new features of reposts: now users will be able to see them both in the chronological feed and in a separate tab. Social network added the ability to view posts liked by the user. Also head of Meta Mark Zuckerberg said he was pleased with how quickly the development team is implementing new features in Threads. He is confident that the app’s audience trajectory will keep him going for a long time.
