As MK managed to find out, this year dates with a combination of twos and fours are popular among Moscow newlyweds. Thus, according to the Moscow Civil Registry Office, about 800 couples consolidated their family union on February 24, 2024. Another most popular date was 04/20/2024 – more than 650 couples planned a wedding celebration for this day. Approximately the same number of lovers applied for the first day of summer – June 1st. About 600 couples plan to officially register their relationships on 08/24/2024 and 04/04/2024.
In total, about 30 thousand couples have already planned a wedding in Moscow.
On the most popular date of the spring wedding season – Wednesday 02.24.2024 – it will be possible to get married in wedding palaces, on-site venues and in government service centers. More than 100 pairs of lovers decided to tie the knot of Hymen at outdoor locations, such as the Spartak stadium, the arts center of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, on the Ostankino TV tower, etc.
By the way, registry office specialists have opened about 150 additional time slots for wedding ceremonies on Russia Day on June 12. Wedding palaces No. 1, 4 and Kutuzovsky, as well as outdoor venues, will be open on the holiday. The largest number of marriages – more than 250 – was registered on Russia Day in 2010. In 2021, over 200 couples formalized their relationships on this day.
