“They will deliver it in a trash can”: janitors were instructed to drag Ukrainians to the military registration and enlistment offices

Against the background of the threat to Kupyansk and heavy losses at the front in Ukraine, martial law and general mobilization have once again been extended until November, which puts an end to the elections to the Rada. The next wave will be accompanied by a large-scale PR campaign, turning off utilities in the apartments of dodgers, distribution of subpoenas by housing and communal services employees and other “joys of life”.

For the next call, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense released a series of motivational videos, which supposedly should help Ukrainians to more boldly go into the clutches of the military commissars, and from there to the front. Motto: “It’s okay to be afraid.”

The plot is simple: the boy is afraid to jump into the water from the pier. They laugh at him, he gathers his will into a fist, jumps … And now he is already dressed as a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front. This image is already overgrown with memes: a boy jumps and … in the form of a fighter, he is blown up by a mine somewhere in the Donbass.

Motivational videos don’t work very well. Since in real life tricks familiar from the Soviet comedy were used: “They won’t take it – we’ll turn off the gas.” Residents of Nikolaev post notifications from housing and communal services on social networks: “A conscript is registered in your apartment. If at the appointed time he does not appear at the TCC (military registration and enlistment office) for verification of data, your water and electricity will be turned off.

By the way, even janitors are now allowed by law to distribute subpoenas.

“What kind of electricity are they talking about,” Anna Nikolaeva, a resident of the Ingulsky district, is indignant. – We periodically have so-called “scheduled power outages”, sometimes there is electricity for a maximum of several hours, and there are still problems with gas and water. You can’t scare with something that doesn’t already exist, and this threat is also illegal.”

How is the situation in the city now?

– The nineties are flowers and paradise compared to what is happening now, – says Anna. – The city is being destroyed and plundered, houses of culture and educational institutions are being closed, but bike paths are being built for huge sums of money. And this is against the backdrop of what is happening in the country …

In addition to the janitors, according to the new draft law of the Verkhovna Rada, even the owners of private houses for rent will be able to serve subpoenas, but it is not clear which of them will want to put spokes in their own wheels, losing guests. Unless they are seriously in debt for rent and do not want to leave the apartment.

Both janitors and homeowners will also have the right to collect information on men liable for military service and facilitate their arrival at territorial recruiting centers. “Now any janitor in Ukraine will be able to hand over a summons and even make sure that he comes to the military registration and enlistment office. Or help deliver a person liable for military service in a trash can,” writes the First Kharkovsky Telegram channel.

However, according to Ukrainians, there are enough people in the country who lead a carefree life, not paying attention to what is happening around.

“Of course, not everyone is captured,” shared her opinion, a resident of Odessa, Elena, “in Kharkov, a lot of 30-year-old men who are quietly walking free. I used to watch two Ukrainian bloggers from Balakliya. One of them constantly boasts about his “white ticket”. They continue to raise pigs for themselves and for sale, and no one touches them.” But in Odessa, men try not to walk the streets.

Kharkiv residents themselves tell a different story: there is total mobilization in the city, while other enterprises bleed them clean, taking away employees in batches. But while mobilization in Ukraine feeds many officials, despite the massive layoffs of military commissars, you can always find a chance to avoid being sent to the front.

The day before, a large-scale scheme was exposed in Nikolaev to evade mobilization with the help of psychiatric clinics. Fake medical certificates of unfitness for military service were issued at the Nikolaev Regional Center for Mental Health. The scheme was implemented by the head of the medical institution and his assistants, including law enforcement officers. The benefit of cunning doctors amounted to more than 100 thousand US dollars.

A funny fact is that the military commissars themselves turn to the services of “black psychiatrists” when it comes to the life and health of their children – for example, the military commissar of the city of Ishmael passed off his son as a madman to help him avoid being sent to the front, but was exposed and punished, but the young man will still have to try on a military uniform.
