The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation has published a draft order on the free admission to preparatory courses of universities of participants in a special military operation and their children, as well as children of doctors who died from COVID-19. The corresponding draft order appeared on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
The document refers to changes in the procedure for admitting persons to the preparatory departments of federal state educational organizations of higher education. The amendments allow SVO participants and their children, as well as the children of medical workers who died from COVID-19 during the performance of their duties, as well as Heroes of Russia and persons awarded three Orders of Courage, to apply for such a preferential position.
The draft order is aimed at improving the level of training of students entering higher education programs. This measure is designed to provide free education for these categories of applicants.
