The newspaper “Sibirsky Khleborob” was not fined for an article about a boar named Maxim Galkin
Roskomnadzor tried to fine the newspaper “Sibirsky Khleborob”, which is published in the Uzhursky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, for an article about a boar named after the comedian Maxim Galkin (recognized by the Russian Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent). This was reported on website Uzhursky District Court.
As it became known, Roskomnadzor drew attention to an article in the newspaper “Sibirsky Khleborob” dated April 22, 2023, which talks about a boar named after Galkin. However, without indicating that the comedian was recognized as a foreign agent.
In the material, the author wrote that all boars have different names. Some were named Vanya, others – Slava. They also have boars named Narcissus and Handsome, and “Maxim” after Maxim Galkin. The last phrase became the focus of the trial.
After considering the case, the court came to the conclusion that the article has no relation to comedian Maxim Galkin. The material was written about the work of a pig farm. Due to this circumstance, the case was dismissed. Roskomnadzor appealed the judge’s decision, but the results of the appeal are still unknown.
