The cynological center “Grom” in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO-Yugra) plans to train dogs to be sent to the special military operation (SVO) zone in Ukraine. As reported to the portal Neft dog handler Olga Kolmogorova will train both specially bred puppies and stray adult dogs.

According to Mrs. Kolmogorova, the animals will learn to find people, drugs and explosives, as well as overcome obstacles and carry out various commands “We are planning to recruit German women (German shepherds – Kommersant) for breeding and training, but we can also retrain adult dogs from the street . It all depends on the individual characteristics of the animal,” said Olga Kolmogorova, adding that trained dogs will help fighters in the northwestern military zone.

In October, at a meeting with residents of Nyagan (KhMAO), Governor Natalya Komarova statedthat citizens bear responsibility for stray animals on the streets of the region. “Animals without an owner do not appear out of nowhere.
