Thermoplastic orthoses: a Moscow-based manufacturer increased the output of medical products by 30%

In six months, the capital manufacturer and developer of thermoplastic orthoses produced 30% more products than in the same period of 2022.
Orthoses are a modern and comfortable alternative to a plaster cast. In Moscow, they are made from low-temperature plastic. Products are covered with foamed polyurethane. They are lightweight, easy to apply and allow a person to take a bath, in such a bandage the patient can undergo x-ray examinations.
“Today, over 200 industrial enterprises are engaged in the production of medicines, medical equipment and products in Moscow. They produce antiviral drugs, medical furniture, telemedicine complexes, goods for ostomy patients, people with limited mobility and seriously ill patients,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Capital’s Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
He added that city enterprises offer modern solutions for the normalization of motor function in case of injuries and illnesses. For example, in the first six months of 2023, the Moscow-based company Ayemty increased its product output by 30%.
This growth is due, among other things, to the expansion of the company’s range, now there are 17 products in the catalog. The manufacturer is also increasing export volumes – contacts for the supply of products have been concluded with Armenia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Israel, Belarus and France. The plans include the UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Ecuador, Egypt.
