The famous cameraman Igor Grinyakin told the details of the emergency that happened to him in the very center of Moscow, on Novinsky Boulevard. The man was heading to the Oktyabr cinema for the premiere of a children’s film, which he was filming, when the car suddenly caught fire.
As MK has already reported, The incident happened on Monday evening. Fortunately, no one was hurt, although the consequences could have been tragic. Just a couple of minutes before the fire, Grinyakin dropped off… five children from the car!
“I have six daughters. Five of them went with me to the premiere. I dropped them off near the cinema, they walked, and I went to park. And then the car caught fire.”
The fire was located in the Toyota Land Cruiser’s interior, in the area of the rear light. The wiring caught fire. Grinyakin put out the fire on his own, with help from other motorists.
“I want the responsiveness of other drivers. Everyone stopped and helped. Our drivers are also very thrifty: they all have fire extinguishers. We put it out with four fire extinguishers. So she stands there, in front of the American embassy.”
