Theatrical “nail” of the country – Kirill Krok

It was the director of the Vakhtangov Theater who received the most attention from the “stormtroopers” at the STD “Hit of the Season” theatrical award ceremony. They sang about him (about how Krok is looking for a director for the theater), told an anecdote (about how Krok “takes away” venues from bad theaters), and how “cherry on the cake” is a poetic and musical poem in the spirit of “The House That Built by Swift” before being presented to the “Nail” theater for “War and Peace” by Rimas Tuminas.

The 21st ceremony at the Center on Strastnoy was led by the Hare Moan team from Lenkom. The event was held in the style of the Star Wars movie. Quartet (Alexey Polyakov, Kirill Petrov, Maxim Amelchenko, Vitaly Borovik) not childishly “sanded” almost all theaters, many actors and directors, regardless of title or status.

Of the theaters, they got the Bolshoi and Maly, Vakhtangov and the Moscow Art Theater, Gogol and the Moscow Art Theater, Pushkin and the Nations, ShSP and Bronnaya, Lenkom and Taganka, and no one was spared from the personalities – Yuri Solomin, Evgeny Mironov, Sergei Bezrukov, Evgeny Pisarev , Irina Apeksimova, Vladimir Kekhman, Nonna Grishaev, Anatoly Vasilyev, Alexei Frandetti, Konstantin Bogomolov, Oleg Menshikov, Andrey Zhitinkin, Vladimir Urin, Sergey Gazarov, Eduard Boyakov, Dmitry Astrakhan, well, how could it be without the Golden Mask.

“Highlight of the season” – it is the only theatrical award in which there are no special nominations. The performance receives the award as a result of the work of the entire creative team of the theater. STD experts (jury headed by the chairman, People’s Artist of the USSR Alexander Kalyagin) five were chosen from the premiere season – the opera “Lohengrin” (Bolshoi Theatre), “My Soul Pavel” (RAMT), “Labor Bread” (ShDI), “I am Sergey Obraztsov” (Puppet Theater named after S. V. Obraztsov) and “ War and Peace (Vakhtangov Theatre). The main “Nail” was taken away by the troupe of the production of “I am Sergey Obraztsov.”

As Kirill Krok rightly noted on the sidelines: “All awards are subjective,” but still the owners of the Nails rejoiced at the awards, spoke heartfelt speeches, thanked their colleagues and expressed their wishes.

Alexey Borodin, artistic director of RAMT, said about the important: “The fact that we found the author Alexei Varlamov is the most important thing for us. It is very important that today, in addition to classical works, modern authors in Russian are staged in theaters. And the performances were honest, sincere, without any lies. Theater exists for the sake of truth.

Irina Chernomurova, Head of the Advanced Planning and Special Projects Department of the Bolshoi Theater, explained to the guests of the ceremony the high cost “Lohengrin” and invited to the Bolshoi.

“I, as always, am nervous, very touching and exciting, ”director Ekaterina Obraztsova spoke about her experiences, receiving an award for the theater.

All “Nails” were handed over, the owners left satisfied, the guests of the ceremony dispersed happy from the opportunity to attend the unique award, artists and directors discussed the “cleansing” of colleagues, and “Hare Moan” is already preparing for the 22nd “Nail of the Season”.
