The YaNAO will host the World Water Sports Tourism Championship for the second time

In the Yamal village of Kharp on the Sob River, the world championship in water sports tourism among men and women will be held. At the same time, the Cup of Russia in this discipline will also be held. Details on June 21 were reported in the press service of the governor of the YNAO.
Competitions of this magnitude were held in the district in 2019 and 2020 – these were the world championships in sports tourism on ski distances. And there was also a championship of this magnitude in 2021 – an international competition in water distances.
This year the tournament will be attended by representatives of the teams of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan. Competitions for teams and in individual competitions will be held in four disciplines: “Distance-water-kayak, slalom”, “Distance-water-catamaran-2, slalom”, “Distance-water-catamaran-4, slalom” and “Distance-water – team race, rally.
Nominees will be awarded with certificates, medals, cups and money.
In YNAO, sports tourism is developing in 12 municipalities. At least 2657 athletes are involved in the discipline. Last year, the Okrug Sports Tourism Federation was recognized as the best at the Sports Elite of Yamal competition.
