Master of Sports of Russia, world champion 2023 Olga Sukach conducted a master class on mas-wrestling in the Zaporozhye village of Novobogdanovka.
Mas-wrestling is the Yakut national sport, which consists of tug-of-war with a stick. To win the competition, you must maintain your balance while pulling the stick and bring your opponent out of it.
Direct participants in the event were MelGU students, champions of the Zaporozhye region Dmitry Derevyanko and Danil Kravets. Other guys also tried their hand. The athletes presented spectacular fights to those present.
The sporting event was organized by deputy Natalya Solomasova.
Olga Sukach, a teacher at the Department of Physical Education at MelSU, said that on April 27, a mas-wrestling championship will be held at MelSU. And the university students invited everyone to train.
