On February 27, the house-museum of V. S. Vysotsky will host the premiere of a chamber musical based on the works of Oscar Wilde “Portrait of a Soul”.
A piano, a small hall, the eyes of the artists and their feelings are closer than ever … Lively voices, lively feelings in the acting of the best musical artists, lively thoughts and emotions of the audience – everything guarantees a pleasant and beautiful evening. The plot is based on the fairy tales of Oscar Wilde, the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray, Prison Confession De Profundis, The Ballad of Reading Prison.
… The successful and famous writer Oscar Wilde reflects on his own life, about his actions, mistakes, victories and defeats. In the end, he comes to a simple thought: everything that happens to you is part of your soul, and to refuse it is to betray yourself.
Together with the hero, we will go through the labyrinth of thoughts and feelings of the author, in whose mind people and characters invented by him, the world of reality and the subtle world of fantasy are mixed. Several very different love stories will unfold before the eyes of the audience, perhaps only in the strength of feelings and passions. Will you find a model of true love, or vice versa – will you understand how not to love?
