As MK found out, a working group under the Ministry of Construction will develop rules for creating infrastructure for the proper walking of pets. The size of the places for walking will depend on the population. The plans are to classify sites by type. For example, part of the space can be traditionally used for games and training. At the same time, it is planned to allocate separate places and park areas specifically for comfortable long walks with animals, and their area will be from 1 hectare.
As part of the standard, experts will approve a number of rules for arranging dog playgrounds. For example, builders will have to use not the sand that is common today, but wood chips, pebbles, grass or artificial sports turf to cover. The developers proposed to make at least 60% of the site free so that the balls and bobs could run and play. In addition, urban playgrounds should be equipped not only with training, but also with play equipment, which allows for different options for use. After all, not all owners are engaged in training pets, but at the same time they are not averse to playing simple games with them.
According to experts, existing sites are not always designed conveniently for owners and dogs. Often they use the wrong coating, and the simulators are installed incorrectly. There is also an acute problem with the disposal of excrement. Experts tend to believe that citizens do not clean up after their pets because there is no infrastructure for this. Ideally, municipalities should equip walkways with special boxes with bags and trash cans.
Developers claim that the new norms should not affect the cost of apartments.
