The first international 3×3 basketball tournament for the Chelyabinsk Region Governor’s Cup has summed up its results.
The sports battle lasted two days. Eight teams from several countries met on the site. China, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Belarus sent their athletes to Chelyabinsk, and, of course, Russian teams also fought for victory. The Chelyabinsk region was represented by the team from Chelyabinsk “Kurchatov” and the team “Metallurg” from Magnitogorsk.
The winner of the competition was the Chelyabinsk team “Kurchatov”. The Belarusian team “Shakhtar” took the silver of the tournament, and the third place went to the “Bianord” team from Perm.
Governor of the Chelyabinsk region Alexey Teksler said in a comment that for the Chelyabinsk region this tournament was the first experience in organizing international basketball competitions. The head of the region assured that there will be other international games.
