The winners of the Contours of Culture project will paint the interiors of Moscow cultural spaces

The acceptance of applications for participation in the second season of the all-Russian art project “Contours of Culture” has begun.
The project, organized by the Moscow Production Center with the support of the Moscow Department of Culture, invites artists and street artists from all over Russia to take part. Application can be made to project website until May 15th.
The winners, whose work is recognized by the expert jury as the best, will have the right to decorate the interiors of one of 15 objects in Moscow, including the cultural centers named after I.M. Astakhov and Salyut, the Akademichesky culture and leisure center, library No. 221 named after R.I. Rozhdestvensky and others.
“Our city has always attracted young artists from all over the country. Including masters of street art who work with the architectural and interior environment. Their art helps to develop the cultural component of the city,” said Aka Marzayeva, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Culture.
The expert jury included the art director of Mosproducer, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia Yulia Yurchenko; artist, graphic artist, designer, academician of the Academy of Russian Television Elena Shanovich; Director of the Moscow School of Contemporary Art, Dean of Higher Education at Universal University, artist and curator of exhibition projects Mikhail Levin; artist, sculptor and performer Roman Ermakov.
“The Contours of Culture project is an example of a large-scale reboot of cultural institutions with the help of street and public art,” said Yulia Yurchenko. “And for artists, this is a great opportunity to turn the spaces of cultural centers and libraries into new points of attraction for a young and advanced target audience, turning them into a kind of exhibition location.”
The winners of the Contours of Culture project will not only be able to decorate the cultural spaces of the capital with their projects, but will also be provided with the necessary materials, as well as receive a fee and support in the social networks of the Mosproducer company.
