The wild story of a blogger from Kaliningrad: why children threatened to commit suicide

Three children of the blogger and the owner of the lingerie store locked themselves in the apartment, accusing her of abuse. The children threatened with suicide, demanded that custody of them be taken away from their mother and handed over to their grandparents, who live in Dagestan. They posted a video of it on social media.

“We ask for the help of everyone who can help us. We are very tired and want to go to all our relatives, live calmly and peacefully with them. Mom took us to Kaliningrad by deceit. She deceived us all, and now we are suffering,” said the children and they said that the mother often left them hungry, mocked and, together with her friends, forced her daughter to eat obscene lollipops.

The video quickly spread across the Internet. Firefighters, employees of the prosecutor’s office, police, and the investigative committee came to the house, who tried to talk to the children through the door. But in vain. The guys (the eldest is 17 years old, his sister is 10 and the younger brother is 7 years old) did not respond and did not make contact with anyone.

The mother of the children at that time was standing on the landing and actively scribbling on the blog. Only one person managed to persuade the children to open the door of the apartment and not to commit irreparable acts – the imam of the mosque of Kaliningrad, Abdulla Gadzhiev. We can say that it was he who saved the guys. He spoke about everything that and how happened that day and not only in an exclusive interview with the MK correspondent.

“Yes, I was very scared for these children,” says Abdulla Hajiyev. And I was able to negotiate with them. But shortly before that, I was already informed that something was wrong with the guys.

I have been in Kaliningrad since 2011, I came from Dagestan, I became the imam of the city mosque, but I always maintained relations with fellow countrymen.

And two days before the incident, an acquaintance from Dagestan called me. He said that grandparents (on the paternal side) of three children who live here with their mother will fly to Kaliningrad. They will arrive because their grandchildren often have a conflict situation in the family and they need help.

I told him that first he needed to meet with these grandparents, with his mother, to find out what the situation was. Maybe it really isn’t? He found out everything, the information was confirmed, and the next day, when we already wanted to connect, the children just closed in the apartment and began to threaten suicide.

– How did the events develop?

– Somewhere around five o’clock in the evening I drove up to this house. There were fire engines, an ambulance, a rescue service, guardianship and guardianship authorities, an investigative committee, the prosecutor’s office, and the FSB. There were so many people there! Everyone stood, but they couldn’t do anything. Each of them approached the door of the apartment where the children were, asked, urged to open the door, but the guys did not react.

Their mother at that time stood between the third and fourth floors on the landing with a phone in her hands and constantly corresponded with someone. I still didn’t understand what kind of person she was: here the children threaten to commit suicide, and she writes and writes.

I approached the apartment and turned to them through the door, saying that I was the imam of the mosque, that I was also from Dagestan, that I was an Avar by nationality, my name was Abdulla. He said that if they let me in, I would solve their issue one hundred percent, and no one would lay a finger on them, I would help them. I said a few words in the Avar language to make sure that it was me. I talked to them like that for a few minutes.

At first, the children doubted, but I was in our national hat, they looked at me through the peephole, made sure that it was me, consulted and said that “we are ready to let only the imam go.” They agreed to open the door for me!

They also told everyone who was on the landing to go downstairs so that they could not see anyone through the peephole.

Then a representative of the prosecutor’s office (deputy prosecutor of the Central District Denis Kim arrived there) told me that he should also come. I voiced this to them and also asked them to let their grandfather on my father’s side, who was also nearby. He explained that grandfather needed to shoot everything on camera for confirmation – you never know what their mother will come up with. The children agreed.

When everyone went downstairs, according to the imam, the guys finally opened the door and let him in, the prosecutor and grandfather, who filmed everything on camera.

– I immediately hugged the children, kissed them, hugged them to me, I said: “You are great!”, Thanked them for deciding to open the door, – continues Abdulla Gadzhiev. – The guys were delighted, smiled, I can’t forget their faces!

Thank God everything went well. We had a good dialogue with the children. We sat on the couch, I introduced myself to them, talked heart to heart and slowly brought to the conversation – what happened, how and why. During the conversation, they interrupted each other, saying that all the time they asked their mother to let them go home to their relatives in Dagestan, but she would not let go.

According to them, in the evenings, the mother disappeared, they were left alone, they also admitted that they were often hungry. They told how one day the mother came at night and gave them indecently shaped lollipops, said – here, suck. I even saw these lollipops on the table and photographed them.

Even in the apartment there was a strong dirt, as if a person had not been cleaned there for weeks. A pile of unwashed dishes, bed linen is lying around, clothes, the refrigerator is dirty and completely empty. I asked if their mother was cleaning? They said that she was doing nothing, she was just going about her life, and they were left to themselves, that they called them bad words, beat them and that they could not live like this any longer.

They also said that several times they turned to law enforcement agencies for help, wrote, called the police. But every time someone came, scolded them for hooliganism and just left. And once it even happened that some employee came after another call to the police, the guys explained to her that their mother was calling them names, to which this employee answered them: “So you behave like shit,” and left. By the way, the children told me about this in front of the prosecutor.

They also said that when they called the police for the last time, the police threatened one of the brothers: “If you call again, we will imprison you.” This is all from the words of the children, I hope the authorities will sort it out. As I understand it, this whole situation arose due to the fact that specific regulatory bodies were supposed to deal with this conflict, but missed the time. They just listened to mom, made a conclusion from her words, closed the question and left ..

So what was the reason for such discord in the family? So far, it is known that a woman with children moved to Kaliningrad a year ago. Before that, she lived with them for some time in a rented apartment in St. Petersburg. In 2012, she separated from her husband, there were litigations between the spouses because of the children.

First, the mother was deprived of parental rights, then her rights were restored, and the father, on the contrary, was deprived. As a result, the woman took the children and left, promising them a good and beautiful family life. When she lived with her husband in Dagestan, in the city of Buynaksk, everything was fine, but after the birth of her first child, scandals began.

After the divorce, the lady became an active blogger, lived on money from a small business – she has a lingerie store in Makhachkala, which she manages remotely.

“To be honest, I have never met mothers like her,” Abdullah admits. – After all this state of emergency, the children were taken to the prosecutor’s office. When this woman entered the apartment, I told her that I wanted to talk to her as an imam. I wanted to find out: maybe they are slandering her, maybe they are threatening. “I have come to help you, I will solve your problem,” he told her.

But she refused to speak and constantly called someone, some human rights activists. I heard that they advised her to hire a lawyer, to raise a fuss, to organize a mass character. She began to tell them that the imam, grandfather and prosecutor illegally entered the apartment, illegally took away her children. All this happened to me.

She said it all, recorded it on video and filmed it, scattered it on the Internet. I have no words. Here her children are taken away, and she is engaged in blogging! I also asked her: how did you get here, to Kaliningrad? You have no one here, no family, no friends. She replied: “Why not?!”.

According to the police, this case still needs to be sorted out.

“Why all this happened, why they separated, and the children are now suffering and do not want to live with their own mother is a difficult question,” the imam continues. – In every family, it happens that a husband and wife swear, quarrel. Each person has his own character.

In this situation, I do not defend anyone – neither the husband nor the wife. I’m only interested in the fate of children. But, apparently, this woman is not quite adequate. It seems that she is under someone’s influence and someone is constantly controlling her.

She said that she did not believe in God either, that she was a Muslim, but she denied it. In a conversation with me, the father-in-law and the mother-in-law spoke very well of her parents, they said that they had a good relationship. But after this girl began to lead such a wild lifestyle, her relatives refused to communicate with her. Moreover, they even warned their son before the wedding that she had such a bad character. But their son was very much in love with her, so there was nothing they could do.

Yes, I have never seen children attack their mother with such hatred. What awaits them is still unknown, but they do not want to return to this woman. To deprive her of parental rights, evidence is needed. This is a matter of investigation. But he personally saw in this apartment obscene lollipops, which she bought for them and gave them to eat. There were also a lot of obscene things in the house.”

As it became known to MK, now the guys are in the children’s rehabilitation center of the Zelenogradsky district of the Kaliningrad region. The brothers and sister are separated from other children, but they settled them (as the guys insisted) in the same room.

Their father, Magomed, lives in Turkey, where he left after breaking his ex-wife’s watch worth 100,000 rubles. This happened after the court deprived him of parental rights.

On the fact of the incident, the regional prosecutor’s office and the Investigative Committee of the Kaliningrad region are checking.

“The children posted a video message on the Internet in which they said that their mother allegedly treats them cruelly,” Natalya Gacko, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Kaliningrad Region, commented to MK. – Beats, insults, feeds badly.

Since before that we received information that the children had closed in the apartment and were threatening suicide, we immediately connected. Now they are under the supervision of a psychologist. We talked and sent to a rehabilitation center.

The legal representative of children today is their mother, her rights are not limited, but the father is limited. This review has only just begun. There are many facts, they just “fly” from both sides.

Suppose children say that their mother is bullying them, but she, in turn, gives the version that they are being cheated by a lawyer and grandparents.

What lawyer? From Dagestan. She allegedly previously represented the interests of the mother of the children, accompanied her when there was a dispute in court about the restoration of her parental rights and the deprivation of her father’s rights. And now it turns out, this lawyer against the mother. The children themselves say they want to go to Dagestan. In any case, we will check everything.
