In Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg, there is an increase in the number of crimes committed by foreign citizens who arrived in Russia. This was announced by the chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin.
He stressed that against the background of an increase in the total number of foreigners arriving in our country, an increase in the number of crimes committed by them is also recorded. “Especially in Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg,” the TFR noted following a meeting of the interdepartmental commission of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on migration policy.
Bastrykin proposed to draw the attention of the heads of these regions to the problem, as well as to analyze the situation in order to take additional preventive measures.
The growth of criminal activity of labor migrants, as noted at the meeting, requires the adoption of effective measures to improve migration policy.
