The wife of former German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, Seo Yong Kim-Schroeder, was fired from her job after she and her husband attended a reception at the Russian embassy in Berlin on May 9 on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, transmits Bild.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Economy of North Rhine-Westphalia, Mona Neubaur, Schroeder-Kim knew that company representatives should not speak publicly on any politically sensitive topics.
Schroeder is in the field of view of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Poland. The department stated that will check former Chancellor of Germany for involvement in the Ukrainian conflict and a special operation as part of an investigation into events in Ukraine. Schroeder was Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany from 1998–2005. In the spring, the ex-chancellor resigned from the board of directors of Rosneft, which he had headed since 2017, and refused an offer to join the board of directors of Gazprom.
