The volunteer spoke about the humanitarian catastrophe in the Kherson region: it comes to stupidity

The rescue operation continues for the third day in 15 settlements of the Kherson region. In Novaya Kakhovka, the water level has dropped significantly and in some places you can walk on sidewalks again. In the coastal areas of the region, as well as Korsunk, Aleshki and Gola Pristan, the situation is still critical. There are still many people in need of evacuation. Meanwhile, Ukrainian propaganda is hard at work dispersing false rumors about the situation in the flooded areas. What is really happening – found out “MK”.

Alyoshek’s flooding peaked on the second day of the disaster. The water level in some places reached a height of 12 meters. The same situation prevailed in the Naked Pristan. The situation remains difficult. Local residents continue to sit on the attics and roofs of their houses. People are running out of food and water.

Many people need medical preparations, because among those who remained, as a rule, those who could not leave on their own. And their number, as a rule, includes pensioners, disabled people and people with chronic diseases.

Ukrainian propaganda, meanwhile, continues to speculate on human tragedies. While people are trying to find out the fate of their loved ones who remained in the flooded areas, the TsIPSO (Center for Information and Psychological Special Operations) is spreading a fake about corpses floating in the flooded streets. Neither photos nor videos are shown, they just urge you to take your word for it.

But in social networks, they managed to upload a photo of an allegedly dead hippopotamus that drowned in the Kakhovka zoo. As it turned out, the photos of the TsIPSOshniks were taken from an Internet article almost a year ago called “How hippos sleep”, and these animals have never been in Novaya Kakhovka itself.

The Kyiv propagandists lie about the events on the left bank to the point of being stupid and more serious. One Ukrainian Telegram channel said that for one flooded city, which they did not name, there are only three rescue boats, of which only one is equipped with a motor. At the same time, it is alleged that citizens with Ukrainian passports are allegedly not being rescued, and in addition they are also being fired at by machine guns.

Some of those who have already evacuated report in Telegram chats that they saw a slightly different picture in Aleshki. “Two on a motorboat swam up to the roof of a house with people, put them to their place and sailed towards the Dnieper, as I understand it, to the right bank …”, a local resident writes.

Also, in the local communities of Alyoshek and Golay Pristan, very strange services from the right bank began to be offered. People, both free of charge and for money, are given the opportunity to escape on the condition that people are transported to the Ukrainian side. It is possible that the “volunteers” from the other side have their own clientele. Locals often report “waiters” who do not get into boats to the Ministry of Emergency Situations in anticipation that they will come from the other side.

To the fake about Russia’s selective approach to evacuation on the Web, they answer: “Russia saves everyone.” The problem is that, as noted by the locals, there is simply not enough strength to quickly take out all the rest. A resident of the Kherson region, Vladislav, who is involved in helping the victims in Aleshki, spoke about the real situation on the spot.

– What problems do rescuers face in Aleshki?

– I am not directly involved in the rescue, I help in finding people through social networks and help those in need even when they are delivered from flooded areas. But I regularly communicate with rescuers. The main problem in finding people is the lack of communication. Even when it’s being restored, the people we’re looking for have dead phones. In addition, there are problems with navigation tools. Roads have gone under water, it is difficult to navigate on the roofs of houses. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has some means of its own, but it is difficult for ordinary volunteers on boats without navigation.

– How are rescue teams provided, what is missing?

– Now we are trying to provide rescue teams with at least water and medicines, many people are sitting with pressure for the second day, someone may be injured. Some urgently need insulin, but it is not always available. There are enough people ready to help here, but more boats are needed.

– What is known about the dead? In Ukraine, they say that the bodies of the dead have already been seen in the water …

“We have never seen anything like it. Nonsense. But I heard that they saw a dead dog. This may be. One grandmother almost cried because of a cat that disappeared after a flood. It would be nice to save all the people, but if possible, they put both dogs and cats in boats. They also try not to give up. And these would be better written about how our evacuation points are being shelled.

About the shelling of evacuation points is not just a turn of speech. On Thursday, a bus with evacuees was fired on from the Ukrainian side in Hola Pristan. Two people died, including a pregnant woman.
