The volume of imports of Russian goods to the United States in February 2024 amounted to $287.9 ​​million, in January of the same year it was at the level of $244 million. The export of American goods to the Russian Federation also increased, in February it amounted to $36 million. This follows from the data in the monthly report US Census Bureau Trade Turnover.

According to the bureau, the volume of goods from Russia in December last year amounted to $292.2 million, and in November – $362.4 million.

US exports to Russia last year made up $597 million versus $1.66 billion in 2022. Imports of Russian goods to the United States at the end of 2023 amounted to $4.57 billion, in 2022 it reached $14.44 billion.

In January, the lower house of the US Congress passed a bill to reduce dependence on Russian agricultural products. According to Kommersant, the Russian authorities are concerned about the adopted document and consider it “a harbinger of complications in trade.”
