The state prosecution requested life imprisonment for the “Volga region maniac” Radik Tagirov, who is accused of murdering over 30 elderly women.

As it became known to the investigation, Tagirov committed crimes from March 2011 to October 2012. He found lonely pensioners and, under the guise of a housing and communal services employee, entered their apartment. There he strangled women with a scarf, a robe belt or a cord from equipment, and then stole their money.

Tagirov himself does not admit guilt, despite the confessional testimony that he gave at the stage of the preliminary investigation.
