The friendly match between the Russian and Serbian national teams, taking place this evening in Moscow, began with a minute of silence in memory of the sports journalist and commentator Vasily Utkin.
Before the start of the match, a video was shown on the screens above the stadium with some of the commentator’s many powerful quotes. After this, a minute of silence was announced.
Vasily Utkin died on Tuesday, March 19, at the age of 52. Farewell to the journalist will take place on March 23 at the Central Clinical Hospital of the Presidential Administration in Kuntsevo.
