Oryol orienteers showed excellent results at the “Amber Coast – 2024” competition

The All-Russian orienteering competition “Amber Coast – 2024” recently ended in the Kaliningrad region, where about 200 athletes from 24 regions of Russia participated. The Oryol region was worthily represented by students from sports school No. 10, and their performances brought the region 5 medals.
The highest awards went to Oryol resident Daria Kononova, who triumphantly performed in the cross-classic, cross-long and cross-classic general start disciplines, repeatedly rising to the top of the podium.
Our city can also be proud of Sergei Sobolev, who won two bronze medals in the cross-classic and cross-long disciplines, demonstrating a high level of training and sportsmanship.
The participation of Oryol orienteers in such prestigious competitions not only raises the regional sporting glory, but also shows that we have talented and dedicated athletes capable of achieving outstanding results at the All-Russian level.
