The first victim of the explosion at the Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant in Sergiev Posad was 45-year-old Natalya Nikitina. Her acquaintances and friends told us about the difficult fate of the woman.

Natalia was from a large family. Her mother died early. And all the kids ended up in an orphanage, and then brought up in a boarding school.

– Natasha studied at school number 15, and lived in the Bykovsky orphanage, – says her friend Vitaly. – From the doors of this orphanage, for 77 years of its existence, a huge number of children came out into independent life. The fate of Natasha was not easy, like many of us.

With her first husband, as her friends say, she lived in a civil marriage. Relations did not work out. They parted ways. But her mother-in-law always helped her.

Natasha, according to the stories of friends, was rescued by her natural love of life and optimism.

“We have older children who are the same age, we walked with her in strollers,” says Natalya, a resident of Sergiev Posad. “And the younger children are almost the same age. Her daughter this year on September 1 should go to first grade. Just recently I spoke with Natasha.

She complained that she had not yet managed to buy everything for school, and prices were creeping up. I advised her to buy everything you need for now, and when there are sales, buy everything else.

Her friend says that Natalia was a very good person, she had a big heart. She took pity on everyone and helped many.

– I never sat on child benefits, worked, took part-time jobs. And what I liked about her was that she never gave up. We were all infected by her optimism.

Friends note that Natalya was a great needlewoman, she skillfully knitted children’s toys. I gladly gave them.

“She liked to create beauty,” says her friend Valentina. – And her toys were all cute, smiling, like Natasha herself. Her soul was light.

I have never met a more responsive person. She loved her family, her children, her husband very much. Our daughters went to the same kindergarten and now they have to go to the 1st grade together.

Natasha and I called on July 27, she said that she had found a new job with a suitable schedule. We agreed to meet at the end of August. And then someone wrote in the kindergarten chat that Natalya was in intensive care.

She had a burn, the doctors could not save her. On the evening of August 9, it became known that Natalya had died.

For many years, as friends say, Natalya worked as a baker at a bakery. She often said that she had the most noble, peaceful profession.

She went to work at the Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant because of her first-grader daughter, so that she could get her to school and see her off. There were early shifts at the bakery. And at ZOMZ, where she got a job, the schedule was more convenient.

“Natasha managed to work there for only four days,” says Natalya. – We have a military town – a small one, we all know each other. When I heard that Natalya Nikitina had died after the explosion in the hospital, somehow I did not think that this was our Natasha. She has always been Natalia Ivanova for me. She just married her daughter’s father two years ago. All of them were good. Natasha was so happy. We were all happy for her. Her eldest son is married. He is already 23 years old.
