The US Senate does not intend to consider aid to Israel without taking into account the needs of Ukraine

The leader of the Democratic majority in the upper house of Congress, Chuck Schumer, said that the US Senate does not want to consider the draft law on aid to Israel proposed by the Republicans, which does not mention Ukraine. In return, the Senate intends to introduce its own bipartisan initiative.
Schumer called the already proposed Republican initiative deeply erroneous. The bipartisan relief project, he said, includes support for Israel, Ukraine, funds to compete with China and humanitarian aid for residents of the Gaza Strip.
A bill has already been introduced in the House of Representatives, which deals with the allocation of $14.3 billion in aid to Israel, but there is no clause on aid to Ukraine. The White House categorically rejected this initiative in advance.
