Geopolitical opponents of Russia hacked and deleted the Telegram channel of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, reported its chairman is Vasily Piskarev.

“It seems that all our geopolitical opponents can do is play dirty tricks on little things: today the Telegram channel of our Committee for Security and Anti-Corruption was hacked and destroyed,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

The deputy noted that only informational messages about the current work of the committee were published on the remote channel, so one can only “guess” why it became a target of hackers. This “assessment” of the committee’s work, Piskarev added, means that it is working in the right direction.

Earlier today Piskarev reportedthat, together with the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, Alexander Khinshtein, he contacted the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB, requesting information about the interference in the internal affairs of Russia by Ukrainian and Western intelligence services against the backdrop of unrest at the Makhachkala airport. The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, previously stated that the unrest was preceded by calls disseminated by pro-Ukrainian Telegram channels.
