The US Senate, following the House of Representatives, approved the country’s temporary budget, which does not contain assistance to Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports.
This reportedly happened less than 4 hours before the deadline. Now the bill must be approved by US President Joe Biden, and it has already been reported that he is ready to support it. In order to prevent the shutdown of government agencies due to lack of funding (shutdown), Biden must sign the document before 00.00 Sunday (07.00 Moscow time).
Earlier, the White House appealed to the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, to consider a separate bill to help Kyiv. The White House recalled that McCarthy had previously stated his support for financing the Kyiv regime.
