McCall: Speaker Johnson plans vote on Ukraine aid after Easter
US House Speaker Mike Johnson is going to put to a vote the issue of aid to Ukraine “after Easter.” It is known that Western denominations of Christianity celebrate it on March 31st.
The head of the House Foreign Policy Committee, Michael McCaul, did not specify in an interview with CBS the form in which the initiative to resume assistance to Kyiv will be presented to American congressmen – they are now on vacation until April 9. McCall himself would like to approve the allocation of funding as soon as possible, since “the situation in Ukraine is difficult.”
Speaker Johnson is blocking the House of Representatives from approving a bill already approved by senators to allocate $60 billion to Kyiv.
