But this whole story has such a positive and progressive meaning that one can only be amazed: “how can this be, it can’t be, because just a year ago it was impossible!”

Actually, all this banality – why did repentant speeches pour out like from a cornucopia (in a very nice, buttoned-up, without sequins form), although the first reaction was “we do what we want, and you, plebeians, endure” – can not be described. And so it is clear. A creature based on an oral-anal structure can wriggle beautifully for the amusement of the public, but is devoid of morality as unnecessary. Once you block the flow of benefits into the inlet, it becomes ready to do anything, even shed a tear.

This is what we see in the case of the “naked party”. Contracts are torn, fees disappear, the tax office comes – well, please: we pretend to realize, I’m a sinner, I repent. Boring.

And now about the amazing. The pendulum has swung in the right direction. “The Reputation Institute” and “cancel culture” worked exactly as they should. As they said in my Pioneer childhood: if you spit on the collective, the collective will wipe out, if the collective spits on you, you will drown.

For decades, the “creative intelligentsia”, “bohemians” did not care about the opinion of the people, flaunting their perversions, boasted of wealth, and subjected to that same “cancellation” any healthy sprout not spoiled by liberal rot. Everywhere – in theater, cinema, literature and especially in pop culture. She boldly gave a damn and did what she wanted – because the authorities had “their own” patrons, or the authorities did not care so much about the people’s opinion.

Just recently, the country was already at war, and all these “pineapples in champagne” continued as if nothing had happened. And suddenly the people were heard by the authorities. The authorities unexpectedly clearly outlined their position: the country is changing, enough is enough. And these are no longer empty words for the sake of populism. That’s why checks began, cuttings from TV shows, cancellation of concerts and contracts.

This is exactly this – the demand “from below” was accepted for execution “from above” – and this is something unprecedented, impossible literally yesterday. We can congratulate each other: we are no longer a population, we are already a civil society. Which the authorities can no longer ignore. Amazing.

PS And the TV people turned out to be the most cunning – no losses, perhaps even profit: now the country will definitely watch “Ogonki” to make sure whether anti-national artists were cut out or not.
