The undocking from the ISS of the Crew Dragon spacecraft with cosmonaut Fedyaev is scheduled for September 1

According to a message published on the website of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Crew Dragon manned spacecraft of the American company SpaceX with the crew of the Crew-6 mission, including Russian cosmonaut Andrei Fedyaev, will undock from the International Space Station (ISS) no earlier than 1 September.

The crew of the Crew-6 mission also includes NASA astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg, as well as United Arab Emirates astronaut Sultan al-Neyadi. It is assumed that Crew Dragon will be undocked from the space station no earlier than Friday, September 1, and splash down off the coast of Florida.

The Crew-6 mission was launched on March 2 from the Cape Canaveral (Florida) spaceport using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The next day, the ship docked to the Harmony Node Module of the US segment of the ISS. For Fedyaev, this was the second flight to the ISS on the Crew Dragon spacecraft as part of the Russian-US cross-flight program. Last October, Russian woman Anna Kikina arrived at the station as part of the crew of the Crew-5 mission.

It is also worth noting that Crew Dragon is scheduled to launch on August 25 with Russian cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov. Along with him on the Crew-7 crew will be NASA astronauts Jasmine Mogbeli, European Space Agency astronaut Andreas Mogensen and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Satoshi Furukawa. In the first half of 2024, it is planned to send Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin to the orbital station as part of the Crew-8 mission.

On July 15, 2022, Roscosmos announced the signing of an agreement on joint cross-flights of Russian cosmonauts and American astronauts to the ISS. Within the framework of this agreement, three flights of Russians on American ships are expected. The cross-flight program was later expanded by one mission.

At the moment, Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Prokopiev, Dmitry Petelin (TASS special correspondent on board the station), Fedyaev, NASA astronauts Frank Rubio, Bowen and Hoburg, as well as en-Neyadi are on the ISS.
