The post of head coach of the Mikhailov Academy was taken by Vyacheslav Uvaev, the club’s press service reported.
Vyacheslav Uvaev began his hockey career at Spartak Moscow. In 1988 he played in the Major League for the first time. He played for Spartak and Torpedo from Yaroslavl. Over four seasons, Uvaev played more than 150 matches.
Vyacheslav Uvaev played 17 matches in the USSR national team. Also, his career was built in Italy. Uvaev was a player of Italian clubs until 2006, where he won the Spengler Cup and the Italian Cup, and also became the champion of Italy.
After his playing career, he returned to Russia and began working in KHL, VHL and MHL clubs. Together with the Red Army MHC, they won the Kharlamov Cup in the 2010/2011 season.
