Doctor-therapist, endocrinologist, cardiologist, candidate of medical sciences Aleksey Zhito said that patients often confuse migraine and ordinary headache.
“… they think that if you don’t take a pill for a headache, then a stroke can happen,” noted doctor in an interview with the Moscow 24 website.
According to him, this is a common misconception.
“In reality, only part of the headaches, namely a special kind – migraine, a certain medical diagnosis, can provoke a stroke,” Gito said.
The doctor noted that frequent pain symptoms are a reason to consult a specialist. A one-time headache can be removed with a pill.
