The team of the Stavropol branch of the Deaf Society won the Spartakiad for the Disabled

The team of the Stavropol branch of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf became the winner of the XXVI Spartakiad of Stavropol disabled people, the press service of the city mayor’s office reported.

20 Stavropol athletes played table tennis, darts, volleyball, mini-football, chess and checkers.

Participants of the city society of disabled people performed successfully. They were awarded a cup for second place as a team. In the individual competition, Galina Pulavskaya and Vladimir Chernov took first and second places in table tennis. Zinaida Kriunova won the darts tournament. Samvel Shakhverdyan took second place in checkers. Lyudmila Ratner, Vitaly Polishchuk, Alexandra Miroshnichenko and Nikolai Maksimov took bronze in various sports.

Disabled people from the city society for the blind and residents of Stavropol with musculoskeletal disorders took fourth and fifth place in the team competition.

It was previously reported that The Pyatigorsk organization of the All-Russian Society of the Blind celebrated its 70th anniversary.
