The teacher and the psychologist called the return of drawing lessons to school senseless

“How to teach and what to do?” – a classic dilemma for modern parents of schoolchildren. The program becomes more and more complicated, new textbooks appear, endless reform, a single form … It turns out that many problems can be solved if you look at them outside the box. For example, on the eve of the exam, it is better not to cram, but … to speak. In the summer, do not rest at all, meet September 1 as a holiday.

About the right attitude to study, life hacks on “entering the process” and other things that are very important on the eve of the new academic year, “MK” talked with the director of the Education Center No. 109, Honored Teacher of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education Evgeny Yamburg and psychologist Evgeny Idzikovsky.

Many parents are interested in the question: how to remove the child from the phone-computer and in general the state of “Dolce Vita”, and set it up for study.

“Yes, children should not have a rest in the summer!” Yamburg is taken aback. In his opinion, children should have expeditions in the summer, different trips, and in the “teacher-parent-child” format. “Parents need to work hard, not relieve themselves of responsibility,” Evgeny Alexandrovich believes. And he gives an example from practice: a Muscovite child comes to the 8th grade – he has never been to any museum, not to any theater.

Yevgeny Idzikovsky, a child and family psychologist, calls for positive reinforcement of studies: “For example, September 1 is a family “local” holiday. And it is necessary to prepare for it, “forcing up a festive atmosphere.” Parents should say: “You will soon go to school, meet your friends.” In order to make it easier to rebuild the mode from summer to September, it is worth setting the computer, the child’s phone in the evenings to “dark mode” in order to start the sleep biorhythm. The best thing to do in the morning is to take a cool shower.

CWP and labor education have returned to school – is it good or bad, and how will harsh practical skills take root among the generation of gadgets? An honored teacher and a practicing psychologist, in an interview with MK, believe that “works” and military training will be beneficial if they are organized correctly.

“The fact is that under the Soviet regime, for example, girls were picking cotton for the entire first quarter,” recalls Yamburg. – And in the collective farms – potatoes, and the children lagged behind by a whole quarter. It was, of course, disgusting.

Then “the pendulum went the other way.” Now, in order to “force a child to erase from the board, you need the consent of the parents.” And another danger arose – to educate schoolchildren “barchukov”, who consider physical labor shameful. Yamburg says that school work should be creative: children already now “work with 3D printers and are quite capable of creating know-how.” The same approach with respect to the NVP-OBZh: not to force them to march in formation, but to teach, for example, how to behave in a terrorist threat, “when the crowd rages.” Or drone control is a useful skill in civilian life.

Psychologist Idzikovskaya says that the foundations of IT on “works” are fine, but for everything else, “diversification by region” is needed: no one has canceled the difference between the city and the countryside. “Some people learn physics better in laboratories, while others learn about car repairs,” adds Yamburg. Work at school can be very diverse: pottery, jewelry, stained glass, a hairdresser: “Let everyone try.”

The experts did not bypass the innovations and subjects that are only planned to be introduced in schools. For example, the sensational family science. Its foundations should be in kindergartens, “until there is still a riot of hormones, to explain the difference between a boy and a girl.”

“I am a believer, I communicate with priests,” says Yamburg. – The question of the prohibition of abortion is being discussed. Brothers, we already went through this under Stalin. AIDS is rampant, and why not teach high school students about contraception?

Uniform school uniforms are another upcoming innovation that worries parents. Both the honored teacher and the child psychologist believe that it is unlikely to be exactly the same. “Let each school have its own uniform, taking into account the region, national traditions,” suggests Yamburg. Unity should not be confused with uniformity. We lost the “jeans war” – now even old people wear jeans … Some directors kick children out for different hair colors. I’m not interested in what’s on the head, but what’s in the head.

“You can “introduce some common elements” of school clothes,” the psychologist suggests. “Similar to the pioneer tie before. But there is no need to force the introduction of the form: it can be inconvenient for people who live below the median salary.

Opinions about other new ideas are as follows: the return of drawing to schools is pointless – the future engineer will draw on a computer, the humanities do not need this at all. Astronomy is necessary as basic knowledge, at least about the structure of the solar system. So that various anti-scientific “heresies” like the flat Earth do not flourish. But in general, the tendency to return and introduce new items is annoying: “The head is not a cauldron;

At the same time, Evgeny Yamburg does not believe that the program is so overloaded. It’s just that the schedule, ideally, should adapt to the capabilities of each child. Now in ordinary schools there are many children with deviant development: with ADHD, autism, etc.

“For a gifted student and 10 hours of mathematics, this is a drive,” the academician believes. “And if I force you to learn Chinese, but you are not interested, it will be torture.” Therefore, variable programs are needed first of all.

Regarding the “difficult USE”, Yamburg spoke about a life hack that the “traditional director” would not like very much. On the day of passing the exam at his school, there are “rehearsals of performances, graduations: because a complete idiot will cram on the day of the exam.” But the theater “removes the acting clamp”, and children pass the exam easier.

Yevgeny Idzikovsky, who also started as a teacher, believes that it is very important to find the right motivation for passing the exam and not intimidate the child: “You will be a janitor if you don’t pass the exam.” And when “pulling up” on the subject, find a point where it was still “good”. In his experience, this is most often grades 3-5. From this moment on, “you need to dance” in tutoring or independently catching up on material, even if the child is already in grade 8-9 or older.

Well, perhaps the most important thing is that the teacher in the renovated school should also be different.

“Today it is not enough to be a teacher of history, a teacher of physics, a teacher of mathematics,” says Yamburg. “It is necessary that all of them receive parallel knowledge in IT technology, psychology, and neuropsychology. And a new unified professional standard for a teacher, which has already been developed, is a response to the challenges of our time.
