The Taganrog Art Museum, which suffered from an explosion on July 28 as a result of the fall of parts of a Ukrainian rocket, announced holding a tour of their premises on 28 August. Its purpose, according to the local Telegram channel “Tyutina”, is fundraising for the restoration of the museum.
During the tour, visitors will be able to “feel the full scale of the tragedy, see the epicenter of the fall of the rocket and the consequences of its impact.” The age limit is 14 years old, and the tour is also not recommended for “particularly impressionable people,” the museum noted.
July 28th were shot down two missiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the purpose of which was Taganrog and Azov. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the warhead of one of them, containing about 37,000 submunitions, fell and exploded in the center of Taganrog. A crater about 5 m deep formed at the site of the explosion, and in buildings located nearby, including the Chekhov Garden restaurant, the hospital, the Taganrog Art Museum and others, doors and frames were blown out along with glass. In the museum, among other things suffered 22 exhibits that will restore Russian Museum.
