The Sverdlovsk Ministry of Health began an investigation into the death of an honored teacher from Verkhnyaya Tura

The Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region organized a verification of the information that the honored teacher Natalya Sergeeva was waiting for an ambulance for 12 hours. “On August 2, the Ministry of Health received a complaint from Tatyana Grigorieva regarding the death of her mother, who died on March 8, 2022 in a hospital in Nizhny Tagil,” the ministry told Kommersant Ural.

73-year-old Natalya Sergeeva lived in Upper Tura. “We have closed intensive care, surgery, a maternity hospital, an infectious disease department, and all our patients are being taken to other cities,”— told portal E1 her daughter Tatyana Grigorieva. In March, her mother became ill. According to her, the teacher called an ambulance, which arrived only seven hours later. Doctors took the patient to the Krasnouralsk hospital, but they refused to accept her there due to a lack of specialists. Then the patient was sent to the Nizhny Tagil hospital, where she waited for help for another five hours. At night, she was placed in the emergency room, where Natalya Sergeeva died on March 8 from the coronavirus.

“To date, it has been established that during the stay on March 7 in the emergency room, the patient was under the supervision of doctors. Due to the presence of concomitant complaints, the patient was examined by a therapist and a surgeon, all studies were performed, including CT. After that, hospitalization was made in the department. On March 8, the patient’s condition deteriorated sharply, she was transferred to the intensive care unit, where, unfortunately, she died, ”the Ministry of Health told Kommersant Ural, adding that after the check, all information will be brought to the applicant.

The TFR also organized its own check. “On this fact, the investigation department for the Dzerzhinsky district of the city of Nizhny Tagil, the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region, is conducting an investigation. Employees of the Investigative Committee find out all the circumstances of the incident. Measures are being taken to interview the relatives of the deceased pensioner and medical workers, other necessary verification activities are being carried out, as a result of which a procedural decision will be made by the investigation of the ICR,” the ICR said.
