The Science and Technology Olympiad was replenished with new directions

New directions have been identified, in which the National Technological Olympiad (NTO) will be held next academic year. They included such profiles as IT-medicine, Mechanical engineering and production organization, Making, Technological entrepreneurship, Urban studies and Digital construction of buildings and structures.
Six new areas will complement the already existing 28 NTO profiles, in which the intellectual competition was held last academic year.
Since the NTO Olympiad is included in the list of the Russian Council of School Olympiads, its winners and prize-winners will be able to receive benefits when entering universities, in particular, enrollment out of competition, 100 points in a profile subject. Everything will depend on what level of the Olympiads – the first, second or third, each specific institution will attribute this Olympiad to. Nine NTO profiles were recommended the II level of the RSOS (last season there were eight directions of the II level); Level III was recommended for 19 profiles (in the 2021/22 academic year – 18 profiles of level III). The profiles that will receive a higher level include “Artificial Intelligence”, “Engineering biological systems”, “Agrobiotechnologies” and “Composite technologies”.
Among the universities that provide benefits to prize-winners and winners of the National Technology Olympiad are the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman, MEPhI, ITMO University, NSU, FEFU and others.
