The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation stood up for a Russian woman, for whom telephone scammers issued a loan in the amount of 400 thousand rubles.
According to the decision of the highest court of the country, by instantly transferring funds to a dubious address, the bank neglected the interests of its client.
In such situations, the Supreme Court has told banks to act with caution and ensure that the person is borrowing money in good faith. The highest court clarified that the simplified issuance of loans using SMS messages actually eliminates all guarantees of the rights of citizens.
It is noted that the Russian woman’s case was sent for review.
