The strongest kickboxers were identified in the Murmansk athletics arena. They were chosen over two days as part of the regional kickboxing championship and championship, the regional Ministry of Sports reported.
The traditional tournament is dedicated to the memory of international master of sports Elina Gismeyeva. The athlete died tragically in August 2019. She made a personal contribution to the development of kickboxing in the Kola Arctic.
The competition took place from November 11 to 12. Among the participants are 180 athletes from Murmansk, Severomorsk, Polyarny, Kovdor, Monchegorsk, Apatity, as well as Gadzhievo, Kola, Pechenga, Zapolyarny and Zaozersk.
There were several disciplines: “light contact”, “full contact” and “K1”.
Previously “MK in Murmansk” reportedthat more than 10 billion rubles have been allocated for the development of sports in the Kola Arctic.
