The strongest jiu-jitsu athletes have been identified on Sakhalin. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports.

The championship, championship and festival of jiu-jitsu took place in the island capital. Over 220 athletes from 5 to 45 years old from Vladivostok, Bolshoy Kamen and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk took part in them.

“The competitions were held in the disciplines of “not vaza” (wrestling) and fighting (strike equipment),” noted the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region.

In the championship, gold was won by Evgeniy Shmatin from bjj spirit (62 kg), as well as members of Triumph SC – Rasul Abdyldaev (69 kg), Gleb Dmitriev (77 kg) and Mikhail Vedrov (98 kg).

The winners of the championship were Timur Dzhambekov from the Sakhalin Federation of Hand-to-Hand Combat (63 kg), Maxim Tsyplin (45 kg) and Sofia Vasilyeva from bjj spirit (52 kg).

First place in jiu-jitsu at the festival was taken by Artur Smirnov from SC Triumph (20 kg), Ulyana Dudko from SC Pitbull (30 kg) and Egor Belyakov from SC Triumph (34 kg).
