The status of the lawyer Elman Pashayev, who defended the actor Mikhail Efremov, has been canceled again. This is reported by the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of Russia.
In addition, the lawyer status of the head of the qualification commission, which admitted Pashayev to the chamber, has been terminated. Now the chamber will conduct an investigation.
Previously it was reported that Pashayev, who gained fame as a defender at the trial of a fatal accident involving actor Mikhail Efremov, again received the status of a lawyer. According to him, the status was restored in the Bar Association of North Ossetia.
He added that on June 27 he passed the test. In 12 minutes, the lawyer answered 70 questions. On August 5, he took the exam. He also added that the members of the chamber unanimously decided on his return to the ranks of lawyers.
Until 2020, Pashayev was deprived of the status of a lawyer three times. In 2018, the Mytishchi City Court sentenced him to a year of probation for extortion. In 2020, he was deprived of the status of a lawyer due to public statements in the Efremov case.
